Welcome to Schindler Elettronica SA

Schindler Elettronica SA, based in Locarno has over 70 years of expertise in the production of components for elevators. Following market demands and taking advantage of new technological possibilities, the plant switched from the production of traditional electromechanical products to that of switches and high-tech electronic equipment systems.

Schindler Elettronica SA is situated on a 16,000 m2 campus and contains all the necessary infrastructure for state-of-the-art production. The company is totally "wired": 360 km of electric cables ensure a widespread distribution of electricity, 17 km of optical fibre and 290 km of cabling fiber create a powerful communications network that ensures the rapid exchange of information and the perfect integration between different workstations.

In addition to movement commands, the drive controls, fixtures and inverters, the Schindler Elettronica SA produces electrical circuits (print), electromechanical components and spare parts. The availability of orignal spare parts is guaranteed for 25 years. With this greatly appreciated service, the company guarantees continuity and quality, showing its respect for the customer. Schindler Locarno manufactures electronic components predominantly for the European market. However, it does also supply its parts to all affiliated Schindler Group companies spread across the globe.
